Democrats Want Higher Minimum Wage for Others While Paying Their Workers Nothing

Free interns for me, not for thee

Democratic National Committee Chair Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz recently made a statement about raising the minimum wage.

“Throughout this campaign all of our Democratic candidates have spoken forcefully about leveling the playing field by making sure an honest day’s work is rewarded with an honest day’s pay. No one in America who works full time should struggle to make ends meet. It’s about dignity, it’s about fairness, it’s about prosperity,” Wasserman Schultz said in a Jan. 17 press release.

ForTheRecord says: Apparently, the idea of an honest day’s work being rewarded with an honest day’s pay doesn’t apply to everyone in the Democratic National Committee.

Interns work for free. As the Democrat’s website states on the FAQ page:

“Are DNC internships paid?”

“All DNC internships are on an unpaid, volunteer basis.”
