Ballot Issues Explained

Mackinac Center experts discuss the six ballot proposals in 10-minute video segments and answer viewer submitted questions

Voters in Michigan have will have a full ballot in front of them next week when they head to the polls to elect a president and decide critical local and statewide issues that could fundamentally change Michigan.

Michigan Capitol Confidential and the Mackinac Center for Public Policy have spent the past few months researching, investigating and reporting on the statewide ballot issues to counter the dizzying array of television and radio commercials that are not always based on the facts.

As part of the Mackinac Center's educational outreach, the Center on Tuesday hosted a webinar to help sort through the issues. The hour-long presentation featured policy experts from the Mackinac Center talking about all six of the issues before voters.

The video is broken into 10-minute chapters to allow viewers to skip to ballot issues they want to know more about.
