MLive headline: "Michigan Economic Development Corp to lay off up to 65 employees"

ForTheRecord says: If the MEDC were an actual employee, you’d wonder how it has managed to keep its job. The government agency reportedly has 52 employees making $100,000 or more. And a 2013 review by Michigan's Office of the Auditor General looked at two MEDC job creation programs and found only 19 percent and 22 percent of their projected jobs actually occurred. The report found one company that the MEDC projected would create 600 jobs ended up with 7 jobs.
