Show Me the Money and Then We'll Be Accountable

Nancy Osborne, a second-grade teacher with Taylor School District in Wayne County, is quoted in an Internet "meme" on the Taylor Federation of Teachers Local 1085 union website.

The meme says: “When all schools are funded according to the needs of their students … Then we’ll talk testing & accountability.”

ForTheRecord says: According to the Michigan Department of Education, the Taylor School District received $10,548 per student for operations in 2013-14. That includes local, state and federal money, and is $1,400 more per student than the state average of $9,121.

Now, about that “accountability” …
