Activist Notebook: 'TEA Party Express' Touring Michigan

The Tea Party Express national bus tour will be hosting a series of rallies across the nation and will include stops in Michigan next month.

Launching from Sen. Harry Reid's hometown of Searchlight, NV, the express starts on March 27 and will conclude in Washington, D.C., on Tax Day — April 15. With a slogan of "Just Vote Them Out!" the purpose of the campaign is to inform citizens about the excesses of some of the worst offenders in Congress by focusing on those who "vote for higher spending, higher taxes, and government intervention in the lives of American families and businesses." Each stop features selected speakers, comedians, musicians, elected officials and much more.

Event stops in Michigan will take place April 8-11 in Ironwood, Escanaba, Sault Sainte Marie, Traverse City, Grand Rapids, Lansing and Detroit.

For more information about when and where these take place, check out the "Miscellany" section on our homepage, or visit www.TeaPartyExpress.org.
