June Had Lowest Number Of Monthly Deaths In Michigan Since 2013

Editor's note: In August, the state of Michigan updated the list of deaths. June's deaths were increased to 8,195. If that total is not updated by the state again, that would be the lowest total of deaths since September of 2019.

The state of Michigan had a total of 7,107 deaths in June, which is the lowest number since September of 2013.

By comparison, a year ago in June of 2019, Michigan had 7,711 total deaths, according to a state of Michigan database. There were 7,079 total deaths in September of 2013.

Michigan had 228 deaths linked to COVID-19 in June of 2020.
