Michigan No. 2 In Nation For Unemployment

Only Nevada is higher with its closed casinos

The state of Michigan had the nation's second highest unemployment rate for the month of April. Michigan's unemployment rate was 22.1%, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Nevada has the highest rate at 28.2%. That state's 441 casinos have been closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
